PILAR GOLF CLUB
GOLF
Designed by United States based The Ronald Fream Plan Design Group Ltd., Pilar Golf has 27 holes, gathered in three 9 hole-courses: Blue, White, and Red. Five tees off in each hole, ample fairways, undulating generous greens, abundant bunkers, and water mirrors give shape to a course that is recognized for its undulating topography, for challenging the experts and entertaining the beginners.
The practice area includes a driving range, the putting green, and the chipping green. A careful drainage system assures the correct evacuation of water, which prevents the courses from closing due to heavy or prolonged rains. Seven hectares of water mirrors create a system of linked lakes, providing beautiful views along with the soft undulations and careful forestation and gardening of the topography.
The course was site of the Argentinean Professional Championship, in 2002 and 2003; and also of the Republic Open in 2006 and 2011. In 2015, it was site of the first Latin America Amateur Championship, organized by the USGA, The R & A and the Augusta National.
