  • “I am very thankful you got me thinking about trust and how to block out mechanical thoughts. I started humming a waltz tempo just before striking the ball. I read that is what Sam Sneed did to focus on tempo and block out other thoughts. It really helped. McKenzie Baustad also helped me with blending my aim to be half target and half safe bail out location. Yesterday I shot 35 on the front and 43 on the back for 78. The 43 came from 5 poor holes where I tightened my grip pressure/tempo midswing. I was playing with Todd Steeves and he thought that was what I was doing. I have been regularly saving many strokes in my short game and now feel that if I miss a green in reg I should still par it. Thank you for investing extra thinking in getting my game into the 70's. I hit my driver easy knowing I am giving up 40 yards as Alvaro acknowledged but no shanks with the driver, I actually hit a 3 wood a couple times. My irons still need work. Wedges I am hitting high and short because I am hitting it correctly with lots of backspin so need practice for distances. Actually, putted reasonably well.”
